Ludovica & Roberto Palomba: contemporary design for Kartell
Ludovica & Roberto Palomba bring an architectural approach to their work with Kartell, combining functionality with refined forms and careful attention to how objects interact with their surroundings. Their designs span furniture, storage and bathroom accessories, making it possible to create coordinated environments rather than focusing on individual objects alone. This approach is particularly evident in their work for Kartell by Laufen, where contemporary materials and visually light structures reinterpret everyday bathroom functions.
Sound-Rack by Laufen: contemporary Kartell storage
The Sound-Rack by Laufen container with 5 shelves in PMMA combines open storage with a distinctive transparent structure. Its five shelves provide space for everyday essentials and decorative objects, while the visually light construction makes it suitable for bathrooms as well as other contemporary interiors. Sound-Rack represents an original interpretation of Kartell cabinets and modern shelving systems, turning organization into a visible element of the interior rather than something to be concealed.
Shelfish by Laufen: a compact designer shelf
The Shelfish by Laufen shelf in PMMA 45 cm. reflects Ludovica & Roberto Palomba’s ability to reduce a functional object to an essential and elegant form. Its compact dimensions make it useful for organizing smaller objects without occupying valuable floor space, particularly in bathrooms and other areas where efficient storage is important. As part of Kartell’s selection of contemporary wall shelves, Shelfish combines practical organization with the transparent aesthetic characteristic of the collection.
All Saints by Laufen: a round Kartell mirror
The All Saints by Laufen round mirror in PMMA transforms a functional mirror into a decorative feature through its distinctive frame and circular geometry. It can create a focal point above a washbasin, console or other surface while introducing softer lines into interiors dominated by rectangular furniture. For those exploring Kartell mirrors and designer wall mirrors, All Saints demonstrates how an everyday accessory can contribute significantly to the overall character of a room.
Kartell tables, chairs and seating by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba
Beyond Kartell cabinets and storage elements and bathroom accessories, the collaboration extends to Kartell chairs and seatings, tables, armchairs and sofas designed for contemporary living. Dining tables can establish the central structure of a room, while chairs and lounge seating introduce comfort and flexibility around them. Low tables provide complementary surfaces beside sofas and armchairs, helping create balanced living arrangements. Across these different furniture types, Ludovica & Roberto Palomba maintain an emphasis on proportion, functionality and forms that integrate easily into modern residential and hospitality interiors.
