A luminous line drawn across empty space

The My Disc LED pendant lamp turns suspension lighting into an exercise in reduction. Its thin horizontal form creates a luminous plane rather than the familiar volume of a traditional shade, allowing the space around it to remain open. Within flos pendant lamps, this approach gives flos pendant lighting an almost architectural quality: the fixture does not simply hang from the ceiling but establishes a measured line that can organize the area beneath it.

Two spheres, one carefully suspended relationship

With the Copycat LED table lamp, Anastassiades explores proportion through two touching spheres of different dimensions. One becomes light while the other provides physical and visual balance, creating a composition that feels simple only after you understand how precisely it has been resolved. The piece brings a sculptural alternative to flos table lamps and connects naturally with the flos | Ic collection, where globes, slender structures and apparent equilibrium form a recurring design vocabulary.

Marble gives gravity to directional light

The Captain Flint LED floor lamp with marble base introduces weight and movement into this language. Its stone base anchors a slender structure while the adjustable light responds to different needs within the room. The flos captain flint floor lamp can therefore move between atmospheric and more directed illumination without losing its composed silhouette. It also reveals how the broader flos floor lamp collection can use freestanding light to create an architectural presence without visually crowding the interior.

Restraint that makes every detail more visible

Across Michael Anastassiades x Flos, reduction never means emptiness. Removing unnecessary elements makes proportion, finish and the behaviour of light more noticeable. Whether suspended above a table, standing beside a seat or occupying the smaller scale of flos portable lamps, these designs rely on carefully judged relationships rather than decoration. The effect is quiet but memorable: light becomes geometry, geometry becomes atmosphere, and the object seems to hold the surrounding space in balance.
