The Flos Coordinates Floor F floor lamp translates a precise system of luminous lines into a freestanding architectural object designed for indoor use. Two adjustable vertical elements in extruded aluminium form the structure, while an opal platinum silicone diffuser softens the integrated light into a continuous, even glow. Within the contemporary language of Flos, Coordinates Floor balances technical clarity with a warm Anodized Champagne finish that adds depth without compromising its minimal character. The lamp can define a living room, lounge, hotel suite or professional interior through proportion rather than volume, creating a strong visual presence while preserving openness around furniture and circulation.

Linear presence within Flos Floor lighting

As part of Flos Floor Lighting, Coordinates Floor offers a refined alternative to conventional shaded or directional floor lamps. Its two vertical aluminium elements can be adjusted to refine the composition in relation to the surrounding architecture, allowing the fixture to feel more open, compact or dynamic depending on the setting. Light runs along the linear structure rather than emerging from a single point, giving the Coordinates Floor linear LED lamp a calm, graphic identity that works especially well beside seating areas, within hospitality lounges or in sophisticated workplace environments. The freestanding format also allows the lamp to establish rhythm and atmosphere without requiring permanent ceiling or wall installation.

Michael Anastassiades and the discipline of illuminated geometry

Designed by Michael Anastassiades, Coordinates Floor reflects an approach in which line, proportion and light are treated as inseparable architectural elements. The structure is reduced to essentials, yet the ability to reposition the vertical elements introduces subtle movement and gives the composition a more responsive relationship with the room. An integrated LED strip with CRI 95 supports accurate colour rendering across furniture, finishes and artwork, while the opal silicone diffuser keeps the emitted light comfortable and visually continuous. A foot dimmer provides ON/OFF control and progressive adjustment from 10% to 100%, allowing the lamp to move easily from a softer ambient glow to brighter functional illumination. The LED source can be replaced by a qualified professional for long-term maintenance.

A sculptural expression of Flos Coordinates

Within Flos Coordinates, the floor version extends the collection's graphic vocabulary into a self-supporting composition that can anchor a room without visual heaviness. The 2.6 m cable, plug-in power supply and interchangeable plugs provide practical flexibility when placing the lamp in residential or contract projects, while the Anodized Champagne finish complements stone, timber, glass, metal and upholstered surfaces with understated warmth. The Coordinates F modern floor lamp by Michael Anastassiades x Flos is particularly suited to interiors where lighting must contribute to spatial order as much as atmosphere, combining adjustable geometry, high-quality colour rendering and controlled dimming in one precise object. For architects, interior designers and hospitality projects, it offers a sophisticated balance of sculptural presence, visual lightness and contemporary Italian design identity.
