The Nocturne floor lamp is available with one or two cones, making it possible to choose a more minimal or more expressive configuration according to the scale of the project. In both versions, the carefully balanced proportions help the lamp sit naturally within the surrounding architecture without losing the distinctive identity of the flos nocturne f1 cone.
Glass Cones with a Dual Luminous Effect
The conical elements combine borosilicate glass with a dual LED system that creates two complementary layers of light. A COB LED delivers direct illumination, while a perimeter halo LED adds a softer indirect glow around the diffuser. This contrast between focused and atmospheric light gives the glass floor lamp a richer visual effect than a conventional single-source fixture.
Because the cones can be repositioned, the balance between direct and indirect light can also change according to the orientation of each unit. The result is a flexible Flos LED floor lamp that can shift from accent lighting to a more ambient role without altering the structure of the room.
A Technical Spine with a Minimal Visual Language
At the centre of the design is a vertical extruded aluminium track powered at 48 V on both sides. This element performs both a structural and functional role, supporting the lighting units while preserving the clean vertical profile of the flos nocturne floor lamp. Available in silver and black, the aluminium finish allows the fixture to either blend into the interior or become a stronger graphic element.
The lamp includes an integrated push-button dimmer for easy adjustment of light intensity, together with a remote driver. The LED source can be replaced by qualified personnel, while the 3.2-metre cable supports flexible placement within larger residential, hospitality and professional environments. These details give the dimmable floor lamp a highly practical dimension beneath its sculptural appearance.
Konstantin Grcic’s Modular Approach to Lighting
Designed by Konstantin Grcic for Flos, this Floor lamp reflects a design language based on precision, modularity and controlled movement. Instead of concealing its technical logic, the lamp turns structure and adjustability into visible parts of its character, giving the flos nocturne family a distinctly architectural presence.
Part of the Flos Floor and Konstantin Grcic x Flos collections, the lamp can also be coordinated with compatible Flos Wall solutions to create a broader lighting scheme across the same interior. For architects, interior designers and premium clients, the designer floor lamp offers a versatile balance of visual clarity, directional performance and sophisticated material expression.
Used as a single sculptural accent or as part of a more complex lighting concept, the nocturne floor lamp stands out for its ability to transform the direction and character of light without compromising the purity of its form.
