ELOISA LIBERA
Eloisa Libera: A Visual Storyteller of Time and Typography
Eloisa Libera is an Italian designer who blends the precision of industrial design with the elegance of visual storytelling. A graduate in Furniture Design (2009) and Industrial Design (2011) from the Politecnico di Milano, she began her career at the Milan-based ASPS design and communication studio, where she worked for seven years. Her multidisciplinary journey soon evolved, leading her into the world of calligraphy, typography, and creative direction.
From Product Design to Creative Expression
In 2018, Eloisa Libera founded her own creative studio in Milan, channeling her passion for lettering, sign painting, and handcrafted communication. This artistic evolution strengthened her ability to merge form and meaning—an approach that resonates deeply in her collaborations with brands like Progetti. Her designs are intuitive yet conceptually rich, always built around stories, gestures, and emotional resonance.
The Burano Clock: Color, Culture, and Character
Among her most iconic works is the Progetti Burano cuckoo clock, a tribute to the vibrant architecture of Venice's Burano island. This piece transforms the traditional cuckoo into a celebration of color and culture, capturing the essence of Italian craftsmanship in a playful yet elegant form. Within the landscape of modern cuckoo clocks, her work stands out for its artistic clarity and human warmth.
A Unique Voice in Contemporary Clock Design
With a deep respect for handmade tradition and a forward-thinking design sensibility, Eloisa Libera redefines how we experience everyday objects like clocks. Through her partnership with Progetti, she contributes to a new generation of modern cuckoo clocks—pieces that are not just functional, but conversational. Her work invites viewers to pause, smile, and connect with time in a more joyful, expressive way.
