ANTONIO FARINA
Antonio Farina: Minimal Poetry and Playfulness in Modern Design
Antonio Farina, born in 1980 and based in Milan, is a product and furniture designer known for merging precision with a poetic imagination. A graduate of the Politecnico di Milano, he started his career by collaborating with companies like Ariston and BMW while still a student. His design language—playful, imaginative, and minimalist—has since matured into a signature style that respects both material integrity and functional clarity, while always aiming to surprise and delight.
Between Industry and Artistic Expression
After gaining experience in product design, interior architecture, and 3D visualization, Antonio Farina launched his own studio in 2010. His multidisciplinary approach spans from experimental furniture to functional objects for everyday use. He has collaborated with a wide range of innovative brands including Progetti, Mabele, Pirondini, Salvatori, Desta, and Puree. Whether working with industrial producers or crafting self-initiated pieces, Farina moves fluidly between concept and craft.
Designing Time: Farina's Cuckoo Clock Icons
In his long-standing partnership with Progetti, Antonio Farina has designed some of the brand’s most visually compelling cuckoo clocks. The Progetti Strong cucù cuckoo/table clock plays with visual weight and architectural boldness, while the Progetti Walls cucù cuckoo/table clock introduces narrative and graphic elegance. These works demonstrate his unique ability to blend modern style with artistic design, elevating the concept of timekeeping into a contemporary art form.
Objects That Speak—Design That Lasts
Through a design philosophy that balances functionality with imagination, Antonio Farina continues to redefine the emotional potential of everyday objects. His approach to cuckoo clocks is not just about telling the time—it's about creating moments of joy and curiosity. With each collaboration, from Progetti to Salvatori, his work becomes a dialogue between object, space, and the stories we live.
