Complementary Paths, Shared Purpose
Andrea Radice, born in Milan in 1979, and Folco Orlandini, born in Grosseto in 1972, both graduated from the Politecnico di Milano: Radice in Industrial Design and Orlandini in Architecture. Their experience includes work at Lucci & Orlandini; Radice also worked with Rodolfo Dordoni, while Orlandini began his career at Alfa Romeo's design centre. They established their partnership in 2008, bringing their complementary perspectives to Italian and international projects.
Collaborations with Infiniti, Fast and Domitalia broadened their furniture practice; in 2013, they took on Domitalia's art direction. Their work received Good Design Awards in 2011 and 2013. Across projects, authorship, irony and continual improvement remain guiding principles.
Tripé: The Intelligence of a Table Base
For Scab, the Tripé Fixed 5002 three-star steel table base turns structural necessity into a defining detail. A die-cast aluminium junction connects the steel elements, creating an assembled system rather than a single solid block. Components can be replaced or varied, expressing the studio's preference for purposeful flexibility.
Available as a base or configured with a compatible steel top, the Tripé Fixed 5002 three-star steel table base with steel top brings a clean-lined presence to Scab Table & Bases for residential and hospitality settings. Its three-spoke footprint gives the design a recognisable identity without overwhelming the surrounding space.
Choosing designer table bases is also about the way a room works. Consider the top, seating and circulation together: why let the support become an afterthought? RadiceOrlandini's minimalist tables invite you to build a setting around clear proportions, useful details and the pleasure of gathering.
