With its unmistakable long-nosed profile, the Seletti The Liar Pinocchio portable lamp turns one of the most recognisable storybook characters into a functional source of light. Rather than hiding the figurative reference, the design makes it the entire personality of the object, giving the lamp a sculptural quality even when it is switched off. Its LED light and portable format place it within Portable lamps, yet the strong character makes it equally convincing as a decorative accent on a side table, shelf or bedside surface where a conventional lamp would feel too anonymous.

Pinocchio Reimagined As Portable Light

Designed by Uto Balmoral, the piece uses thermoplastic resin to define Pinocchio's body with a clean, durable form that can carry the humour of the concept without becoming visually fragile. This material choice supports the identity of the Seletti resin portable lamp while allowing the figure itself to serve as the lamp's visual structure. The result can be described naturally as a Pinocchio shaped lamp or a portable character lamp, because the narrative silhouette and the lighting function are inseparable rather than added as two independent elements.

Resin Gives The Character A Sculptural Role

As part of the Seletti Lighting collection, The Liar reflects the brand's preference for illumination that behaves like an object of imagination as much as a practical fixture. A Seletti Pinocchio lamp brings a humorous literary reference into contemporary interiors, while Seletti portable Pinocchio lamp emphasises the freedom to reposition the light according to the moment. Its scale and mobility make it particularly suited to informal living areas, bedrooms, creative studios or reading corners where light can move with changing routines. The figurative body gives the lamp a recognisable front and profile, so it can be oriented deliberately within a room and used almost like a small illuminated sculpture.

A Playful Light For Flexible Interiors

The expressive shape also makes Seletti The Liar Lamp a memorable choice for collectors of figurative design, while Uto Balmoral x Seletti lamp connects the playful object directly to the designer's irreverent language. It can be appreciated as a novelty LED table lamp or a rechargeable designer table lamp without losing its value as a sculptural accent. For those ready to buy Seletti The Liar Lamp, the lamp is easy to coordinate with mirrors, cushions, ceramics and decorative pieces from other Seletti collections, creating a lively interior without forcing a single stylistic theme.
