Within the Flos Floor Lighting choice, the Flos Superloon transforms the elementary geometry of a circle into a freestanding architectural presence with an unusually strong relationship between light and space. Its large luminous disc is supported by an aluminium structure and can be rotated and adjusted, allowing the Flos lighting fixture to change orientation according to furniture, circulation and the desired visual effect. Designed for indoor use, the lamp provides direct LED illumination through an opal PMMA diffuser with Edge Lighting technology, creating an even luminous surface rather than the appearance of a conventional shade. Available in Black and Chrome, the Superloon large disc floor lamp can become either a graphic dark accent or a more reflective sculptural element within contemporary residences, hotel lounges and design-led reception spaces.

Jasper Morrison and the expressive strength of pure geometry

Jasper Morrison gives Superloon its distinctive identity through reduction, allowing a single circular form to carry both the technical and visual character of the design. The disc recalls the luminous presence of the moon without becoming decorative or literal, while its generous diameter gives the lamp enough scale to influence the surrounding architecture. The adjustable rotating lamp head allows the circle to be presented at different angles, changing how it relates to walls, seating groups and sightlines throughout the room. As a contemporary moon floor lamp, Superloon achieves impact through proportion, balance and controlled movement rather than ornament. Its aluminium construction reinforces this precision, making the fixture equally convincing against stone, timber, glass, metal and softly upholstered surfaces.

Flos Superloon: Edge Lighting with intuitive Warm Tone control

The Flos Superloon LED floor lamp reflects the technical refinement associated with Flos, combining Edge Lighting technology with responsive controls integrated discreetly into the stem. An optical sensor allows users to adjust brightness and manage the Warm Tone function, making it possible to refine both intensity and atmosphere according to the moment. The rotating head adds another level of flexibility, positioning the direct light where it is most effective while preserving the purity of the circular silhouette. The LED source can be replaced by qualified personnel, supporting professional maintenance over time, and a plug-in power supply with interchangeable plugs is included. These functions make the Superloon adjustable disc floor lamp as practical in everyday use as it is visually distinctive.

A sculptural counterpoint to Flos Table lights

Combined with Flos Table Lights, the Superloon by Jasper Morrison x Flos can anchor a layered lighting scheme in which its large circular source establishes a strong ambient and architectural reference while smaller fixtures provide more localised illumination. The Superloon statement floor lamp works especially well beside sofas, lounge chairs or within open reception areas where its disc can be angled to create different relationships with the surrounding space. Black gives the geometry greater graphic definition, while Chrome interacts with nearby materials and changing daylight through a more reflective surface. Whether specified as a focal point in a private living room, a refined hotel suite or a contemporary hospitality lounge, Superloon brings together adjustable orientation, optical control and sculptural scale in a design that turns a simple luminous circle into an integral part of the interior.
