Two vertical ash wood blades define the unmistakable character of the Flos Seki-Han wooden floor lamp, creating a warm architectural presence that changes according to their position. Mounted around the central light source, the blades can rotate to modify the way light is distributed through the room, giving this wooden floor lamp a dynamic relationship with its surroundings. The natural quality of the wood softens the technical structure and gives the fixture a tactile, furniture-like presence.

The lighting effect can shift between symmetrical and asymmetrical distribution, allowing the user to shape both direct and indirect illumination. This flexibility makes the flos seki han floor lamp particularly effective in living rooms, hospitality lounges and refined professional interiors where light is expected to influence the perception of space rather than simply illuminate it.

A Floor Lamp That Changes with the Interior

The rotating wooden blades allow Seki-Han to alter its visual and luminous character with a simple adjustment. Depending on their orientation, the lamp can create a more balanced glow or direct attention toward specific surfaces and areas. This ability to transform the atmosphere gives the modern wood floor lamp a distinctive versatility while preserving a calm and refined silhouette.

More than a source of light, the lamp becomes an integral part of the interior, defining the space through its form and luminous presence. This sculptural quality makes the seki han floor lamp particularly appealing in projects where material expression and lighting performance need to coexist.

Tobia Scarpa’s Refined Approach to Material and Form

Created by Tobia Scarpa for Flos, Seki-Han expresses a design language in which construction, movement and material are fully visible. As a Floor lamp, it combines the warmth of ash wood with metallic details and a rigorous vertical geometry, offering a sophisticated alternative to more conventional freestanding lighting.

The flos seki han design feels equally relevant in residential and contract contexts, where its proportions allow it to act as both a functional light source and an independent decorative object.

Warm LED Light with Integrated Dimming

A linear LED light source sits at the centre of the composition, using an LED Retrofit T8 with G13 lamp holder and a warm 2700 K colour temperature. The bulb is included, while an integrated dimmer allows the intensity to be adapted to different moments of the day. This makes the fixture a highly versatile dimmable floor lamp as well as a refined LED floor lamp for atmospheric interior lighting.

A 2.1-metre cable supports flexible placement, while compatibility with the Flos Pendant collection makes it possible to extend the same design sensitivity across a broader lighting scheme. For architects, interior designers and design-conscious clients, the designer floor lamp offers a distinctive balance of wood, movement and warm light, transforming the flos seki han floor concept into a sculptural element with genuine architectural presence.
