Designed by Formafantasma, the Flos SuperWire hexagonal glass floor lamp explores how transparency, repetition and visible structure can shape the experience of light. Rather than concealing its technical logic, the design turns stacked modules into the defining language of the object, giving the flos superwire family a strong architectural identity.

Produced by Flos as part of its Floor collection, this Floor lamp can be coordinated with the compatible Flos Table collection to create a coherent lighting concept across different scales. Its presence is especially suited to interiors where lighting is expected to contribute to the spatial composition as much as to illumination.

A Vertical Architecture of Glass and Light

Stacked hexagonal modules give the Flos SuperWire hexagonal glass floor lamp a striking vertical presence, transforming the fixture into a luminous architectural element. The transparent glass volumes rise from a steel tripod base, creating a composition that feels both structural and visually light. This distinctive arrangement allows the glass floor lamp to define a space without introducing visual heaviness, making it especially effective in refined living rooms, hotel lounges and design-focused contract interiors.

Polished aluminium details sharpen the geometry of the transparent structure and create subtle reflections when the lamp is illuminated. More than a source of light, the lamp becomes an integral part of the interior, defining the space through its form and luminous presence. The result is a modern glass floor lamp that works as both ambient lighting and a sculptural focal point.

Stacked Modules for a Diffused Luminous Effect

The modular construction gives the flos superwire floor lamp a strong sense of rhythm, with each hexagonal element contributing to the overall visual balance. Diffused light travels through the transparent composition, creating an even glow that emphasizes the outline of the structure rather than a single concentrated point of illumination.

This approach allows SuperWire to interact with the surrounding architecture in a subtle way. Reflections on glass and polished aluminium change according to viewpoints, materials and ambient conditions, giving the LED floor lamp a dynamic quality that remains elegant even when the fixture is switched off.

Designed for Control, Maintenance and Flexibility

An integrated dimmer allows the intensity to be adjusted according to the desired atmosphere, making the fixture a versatile dimmable floor lamp for both intimate and more expressive lighting scenarios. The remote driver is included, while the LED source has been conceived so that it can be replaced directly by the end user, supporting easier maintenance over time.

As a designer floor lamp, the superwire floor lamp stands out for the way its stacked glass modules transform diffused light into a three-dimensional composition, bringing together transparency, polished metal and architectural rhythm in a single refined object.
