ROSS LOVEGROVE
Ross Lovegrove is a Welsh artist and designer, born in Cardiff in 1958. He graduated in Industrial Design in 1980 at the Polytechnic University of Manchester and three years later obtained a Masters in Design at the Royal College of Art in London. At the beginning of the eighties he worked as a designer for Frog Design in East Germany and with Knoll International in Paris. He participated with P. Starck and J. Nouvel of the Atelier de Nimes providing advice to brands such as Cacharel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Dupont. In 1990, once back in London, he founded Studio X and collaborated with prestigious design companies including Apple Computers, Cappellini, Ceccotti, Driade, Edra, Fasem, Fratelli Guzzini and Vitra. He has won several international awards and his works are exhibited in permanent collections at the MOMA in New York and at the Design Museum in London. Ross Lovegrove is considered one of the greatest exponents of British design thanks to his innovative approach linked to the relationship between technology and design.
