TIM MÄLZER
Born in 1971 in Elmshorn, Germany, Tim Mälzer is a renowned TV chef, restaurant owner, cookbook author and television personality, known for his creative approach to food. He grew up in a small family and became very interested in cooking when he was young. This led him to start a food journey that changed the way people eat.
After completing his studies at the Johannes-Brahms-Schule and subsequently working at the Intercontinental Hotel in Hamburg, Tim honed his culinary skills at the prestigious Ritz Hotel in London. His career took a decisive turn working at Antonio Carluccio’s Neal Street Restaurant, where he met and befriended Jamie Oliver. His return to Germany saw him shine in the Michelin-starred restaurants of Hamburg, culminating in the management of the restaurant Das Weißes Haus and the opening of The Good News on the banks of the Alster. Tim Mälzer did not limit himself to cooking; his voice animated characters in films like Ratatouille, and he collaborated with brands like Kai to create designer kitchen utensils. These products combine Japanese and German craftsmanship, bringing its unmistakable touch to kitchens around the world.
As ambassador of the German maritime search and rescue service, Tim also engages in social causes, demonstrating that its impact goes beyond the kitchen.
