GAE AULENTI + PIERO CASTIGLIONI
Gae Aulenti (1927-2012) is an Italian architect and designer deeply interested in the field of architectural restoration and interior design. At the beginning of her career, she worked as art director in the editorial staff of "Casabella" and participated in the Neo Liberty movement, whose components of originality will appear in many of her works. Her strong interest in industrial design led her to collaborate with important companies such as Zanotta, Martinelli Luce, Kartell, iGuzzini and Fontana Arte. Piero Castiglioni (1944) is an Italian architect focused almost exclusively on lighting design. In fact, thanks to his deep knowledge of light sources, from the most traditional to the most sophisticated, he participated in the creation of the project " Scintilla ", a customized production of lighting fixtures for art galleries, shops and living spaces. The two artists collaborated and together they designed for Fontanaarte the PAROLA lamps collection.
