PATRICK JOUIN
Patrick Jouin was born in Nantes in 1967 and he graduated in Paris in 1992. He collaborates with the company that manages luxury railway services Compagnie des Wagons-lits and with the TV company Thomson multimedia under the artistic direction of Philippe Starck and he workd in this studio until 1999. In 1998 Jouin opened his own studio in Paris and get international fame thanks to the collaboration with the famous French chef Alain Ducasse: they design interior design for many restaurants in Paris and New York. He also collaborates with companies such as Ligne Roset, Renault, Cassina, Murano, Kartell and in 2011 he won the ADI Golden Compass thanks to the Pasta Pot designed for Alessi. In his work, Jouin reworks the industrial culture, creating design objects that recall forms deriving from the mass industry.
