JERSZY SEYMOUR
Jerszy Seymour is a Canadian designer born in Berlin in 1968. He has lived in London, where he studied Engineering at the South Bank Polytechnic and Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art. Since 1999 he lived in Milan, where he carried out some experimenting projects, such as “House in a Box” in 2002, “Scum” in 2003 and the concept of “Tape” clothing in 2003. This experimental and conceptual projects are the most important part of his work. Jerszy Seymour has designed and cooperated for prestigious companies, such as Magis, Vitra, Kreo, Moulinex, Sfr and Idee. His works have been exhibited at the Design Museum of London, at the Vitra Design Museum of Basel and Berlin, at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris and at the Kreo Gallery in Paris. In 2005 he was guest of honor at the Design Bruxelles, where he had organized the space Cervello Bruxelles. He taught at the Royal College of Art of London, at the Domus Academy of Milan, at the ECAL of Lausanne , at the HfG of Karlsruhe and at the Design Workshop Vitra in France. In 2004 Jerszy Seymour went back to Berlin, where he now lives and works.
