ASTRID LUGLIO
The Italian designer Astrid Luglio was born in Naples in 1988 and studied at the New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA) in Milan, graduating in Product Design. After her studies she worked as a freelancer in Melbourne, Australia, and then returned to Italy, to start collaborating with Tourdefork, a design studio in Milan inspired by food and culinary culture. From the very beginning, she explored the technique of glass process as a design experiment. In 2018 she founded his independent studio and began teaching Design of Small Objects to international students at NABA. She cooperates with various companies both in Italy and abroad, including Ichendorf, The Box and Tonatto Profumi. Together with designers Ilaria Bianchi, Agustina Bottoni and Sara Ricciardi founded the collective The Ladies' Room by which she starts a reflection on contemporary design both through experiences that explore new urgencies of a sensory involvement and with the creation of artifacts.
