RACHEL & BENOÎT CONVERS
Rachel & Benoît Convers, graphic designer and designer, in 1996 with the collaboration of Rachel’s sister, Carine Jannin, founded the Hybrid brand in Besançon. The "Mobilier de compagnie" collection was inspired by the presence of their dog Sultan while they were designing a stool and the animal seemed just the perfect height. At that point, the designers started from that idea to create a collection whose four-legged furniture looks almost alive. Inspired by the Cabinet de Curiosités and imaginary animals, this young French brand creates its own mythology while privileging a local production. They collaborate with brands such as Kenzo and Habitat and are also dedicated to the furnishing of hotels such as Firmdale in London.
