Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959 and lived in New York, where he attended the Bryanston School. Graduated in design in 1982 at the Kingston Polytechnic Design School of London, he got two Masters in Design: one at the Kingston Polytechnic Design School in the same year, the other one at the Royal College of Art in London in 1985. He studied also at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. In 1986 he opened his design studio in London. Nowadays he has professional studios in London and in Paris, where he cooperates with important companies, such as Alessi, Cappellini, Magis, FSB, Alias, Rosenthal, Vitra, Rowenta, SCP, Furniture, Olivetti.
