magis-tubby-polyethylene-plant-pot-pot-holder
Magis Tubby polyethylene plant pot/pot holder
The Magis Tubby planter in polyethylene with integrated wheels for indoor and outdoor use transforms practical planting into a sculptural element for contemporary residential and hospitality spaces. Made entirely from polyethylene, Tubby can be used either directly as a plant pot or as a pot holder, providing flexibility when arranging greenery across interiors, terraces and patios. Integrated wheels allow the planter to be repositioned with ease, an especially useful feature when adapting layouts or reorganising decorative planting. Available as type 1 and type 2, the family gives designers two alternatives for composing planting schemes while preserving the same recognisable visual language. As a mobile polyethylene planter, Tubby combines a substantial decorative presence with straightforward everyday functionality.

Sculptural planting within Magis Home Accessories

Positioned within Magis Home Accessories, Tubby brings greenery into the interior or exterior design scheme through a form conceived as both functional container and decorative object. The two versions, Magis Tubby 1 and Magis Tubby 2, allow different compositions to be developed while maintaining consistency across the setting. Its dual function as planter or pot holder also gives designers freedom to choose whether plants are placed directly inside or introduced in a separate container. The integrated wheels distinguish this planter with wheels from conventional fixed plant pots, making it easier to adjust the position of greenery in homes, terraces, hospitality environments and other spaces where layouts may change over time.

Marc Andrew Newson and mobility as part of the design

Marc Andrew Newson gives Tubby a clear sculptural identity while keeping practical movement central to its function. The polyethylene construction creates a continuous visual presence, while the wheels allow the planter to move rather than remain permanently tied to one location. This combination makes the object particularly adaptable across indoor and outdoor environments, where plants may need to be repositioned according to changing arrangements or spatial requirements. Used as a plant pot with wheels, Tubby can shift between different areas with less effort; used as a pot holder, it provides the same mobility while accommodating a separate container. The result is a functional planting accessory whose character comes from the direct relationship between material, volume and movement.

A mobile accent alongside Magis Armchairs & Lounge

Magis allows Tubby to coordinate naturally with Magis Armchairs & Lounge, helping greenery become part of relaxed residential, terrace and hospitality compositions rather than a separate decorative layer. Positioned beside lounge seating or within an open-air arrangement, the planter can introduce vegetation while retaining the flexibility to move as furniture layouts evolve. Its suitability for both indoor and outdoor use broadens the range of settings in which the same design language can be maintained, from living spaces to patios and hospitality areas.
