flos-noctambule-cylinder-and-cone-led-floor-lamp
Flos Noctambule Cylinder and Cone LED floor lamp
The Flos Noctambule Cylinder and Cone LED floor lamp turns transparent glass into a striking freestanding composition, balancing architectural height with remarkable visual lightness. Designed for indoor use, the family is available with one High Cylinder or two High Cylinders, both rising from a stable die-cast aluminium base and completed by a sculptural cone-shaped upper element. Opal optical silicone ring diffusers soften the integrated LED light, while the transparent blown-glass modules preserve open sightlines through the room. Within the design language of Flos, the lamp becomes a luminous vertical landmark for living rooms, gallery-like lounges and refined hospitality interiors where lighting is expected to define atmosphere as well as space.

Architectural scale within Flos Floor lighting

As part of Flos Floor Lighting, the Cylinder and Cone version offers a more expressive silhouette than the purely cylindrical Noctambule floor lamps, using the conical top to create a stronger visual conclusion. The one-cylinder format introduces a poised accent beside sofas, lounge seating or architectural features, while the two-cylinder version extends the composition upward for larger rooms and more generous ceiling heights. A foot dimmer allows continuous adjustment from 10% to 100%, giving the Noctambule Cylinder and Cone ambient floor lamp the flexibility to move from subtle evening illumination to brighter diffused light. The 1.8 m cable supports practical positioning without compromising the clean relationship between lamp, furniture and surrounding architecture.

Konstantin Grcic and the precision of transparent structure

Konstantin Grcic gives the design its distinctive character by treating the junction between glass, light and geometry as the main visual language. The transparent cylinders appear almost immaterial in daylight, while the illuminated silicone rings reveal the modular logic after dark. The cone-shaped element adds a more directional sculptural gesture at the top, creating contrast with the clarity of the vertical glass volumes below. The LED source can be replaced by qualified personnel, supporting long-term use in premium residential and contract projects. As a statement corner lamp by Konstantin Grcic x Flos, the composition achieves impact without visual heaviness, relying on proportion, luminous rhythm and precise material transitions rather than ornament.

Layered interiors with Flos Noctambule and Flos Table lights

Within Flos Noctambule, the Cylinder and Cone floor lamp develops the collection’s language of transparent modules into a freestanding piece with a more defined sculptural profile. Used alongside Flos Table Lights, it can anchor a layered scheme in which tall ambient illumination is balanced by smaller local sources across consoles, bedside surfaces or lounge tables. The Noctambule Cylinder and Cone modern accent floor lamp works naturally with stone, timber, metal, glass and upholstered finishes, while the choice between one and two High Cylinders gives architects and interior designers flexibility when calibrating scale. With dimmable LED performance, replaceable light source and exceptional visual transparency, it offers a refined balance of technical control, atmospheric comfort and contemporary Italian design character.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0550/0793/6771/files/flos-noctambule-cylinder-and-cone-led-floor-lamp-F0265000-1-high-cylinder-and-cone-1.webp?v=1792062595
