flos-my-sphere-pendant-lamp
Flos My Sphere pendant lamp
The Flos My Sphere pendant lamp transforms the purity of a luminous globe into a suspended architectural presence designed for calm, contemporary interiors. Conceived for indoor use, its white glass spherical diffuser distributes light in every direction, creating an even, enveloping glow that feels as suitable above a dining table as it does in a hotel lounge, reception area or refined living space. Within the design language of Flos, the lamp is defined by restraint rather than ornament, allowing the sphere itself to become the visual focus. The matt white ceiling rose and 2.7 m cable support a clean installation, while dimming from 10% to 100% allows the atmosphere to move fluidly from brighter social settings to softer evening illumination.

Michael Anastassiades and the clarity of the sphere

Michael Anastassiades gives My Sphere its distinctive character by reducing the pendant to an elemental volume whose strength comes from proportion, material and luminous presence. The white glass diffuser softens the light across its entire surface, avoiding harsh contrast and creating a visual effect that feels balanced from every viewpoint. Rather than directing illumination toward one specific area, the globe sends light outward through the surrounding space, making the My Sphere globe pendant especially effective in interiors where atmosphere and spatial continuity matter as much as function. Its simple geometry introduces a calm counterpoint to linear furniture, architectural grids and more textured material palettes.

A refined presence within Flos Pendants

As part of Flos Pendants, My Sphere offers a sophisticated alternative to more directional suspended fixtures, using omnidirectional light to create a broad sense of luminous comfort. The 2.7 m cable provides flexibility when setting the hanging height, allowing the lamp to sit closer to a table or float higher within a larger volume. Its round glass pendant light profile works naturally with stone, timber, lacquer, metal and upholstered finishes, while the matt white details preserve a quiet architectural identity. In dining rooms, boutique hospitality spaces and design-led residential interiors, the pendant becomes a sculptural focal point without adding unnecessary visual weight, making the light itself part of the room’s composition.

Architectural continuity with Flos Ceiling lights

Used alongside Flos Ceiling Lights, My Sphere can contribute to a layered lighting scheme in which suspended and overhead sources create different levels of ambience while maintaining a coherent visual language. Its dimmable output allows the My Sphere modern globe pendant by Michael Anastassiades x Flos to adapt to changing moods and activities, from brighter entertaining to more intimate evening use. The omnidirectional distribution helps soften the surrounding architecture, while the spherical form remains recognisable and composed even when switched off. For architects, interior designers and hospitality professionals, My Sphere offers a refined balance of glass, geometry and diffused illumination, bringing a timeless suspended form into contemporary interiors with visual softness, technical clarity and a distinctly architectural sense of proportion.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0550/0793/6771/files/flos-my-sphere-pendant-lamp-F1920009-white-1.webp?v=1792062516
