Designed for indoor use, the lamp suspends an opal PMMA diffuser beneath a polished nickel-plated metal reflector, creating a layered relationship between source, surface and space. Three slender steel cables support the diffuser with remarkable visual delicacy, while the glossy white inner finish of the reflector helps redirect light with softness and control. The Frisbi pendant lamp works especially well above dining tables, lounge areas and refined hospitality settings, where its floating geometry introduces architectural presence without closing the visual field.

Achille Castiglioni x Flos: balance, reflection and visual lightness

Within Achille Castiglioni x Flos, Achille Castiglioni transforms technical components into a suspended composition with an almost effortless sense of equilibrium. The opal diffuser appears to float beneath the reflector, while the three fine steel cables become part of the graphic character rather than elements to conceal. Light is directed downward for practical illumination, softened through the PMMA surface and reflected upward by the polished metal structure, producing several luminous effects from a single fixture. This layered performance gives Frisbi a distinctive role in residential and contract interiors, where the lamp can provide useful light while also acting as a sculptural object that remains elegant from different viewpoints.

Flos Frisbi: polished materials with controlled illumination

The Flos Frisbi pendant lamp reflects the material precision associated with Flos, combining polymethyl methacrylate, steel and polished metal in a carefully resolved suspended system. An ABS ceiling rose and ceiling attachment complete the installation with a clean technical finish, and the 2.7 m cable offers useful flexibility across different ceiling heights. The chrome character of the fixture integrates naturally with stone, timber, glass and contemporary metal finishes, making Frisbi suitable for sophisticated homes, restaurants, hotel lounges and professional interiors that value clarity, durability and iconic Italian design.

A layered dialogue with Flos Ceiling lights

Used alongside Flos Ceiling Lights, Frisbi can contribute to a coordinated lighting scheme in which suspended and overhead sources define different layers of brightness and atmosphere. Its broad circular geometry creates a clear focal point above tables and seating zones, while the combination of direct, reflected and diffused light prevents the composition from feeling visually harsh. The Frisbi modern pendant light is particularly effective in interiors where lighting must support both function and spatial identity, offering a balanced mix of luminous comfort and sculptural presence. With its suspended PMMA diffuser, polished reflector and precise steel cables, Frisbi remains an enduring solution for architects and interior designers seeking a pendant that feels technically intelligent, visually light and unmistakably refined.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0550/0793/6771/files/flos-frisbi-pendant-lamp-F2500000-chrome-1.webp?v=1792061957
